When it comes to SEO, internal linking is crucial but no tool shows the internal links pointing to each page within the website.
- Show a number of internal links per page.
- Show which internal pages are linking to which and anchor texts.
- Show how many "outgoing" internal links each page has.
- Show a page internal anchor text distribution.
Maybe this will be a feature for the crawler? Anyhow it would be useful to be able to check competitors internal link distribution just by typing in the domain in the site explorer.
Internal link excluding the navigation links. Or at-least only from the content body internal links with all the related attributes/metrics.
hey guys & girls... We'll soon add internal link counts to Site Explorer > "Best by links" report. But I'm afraid the numbers is all we can add. In order to see the actual linking pages & anchors, you'll have to use a new tool that we're working on right now - Site Audit. So I'm moving this feature there.
As a follow on - if you took the data from backlinking information, you could determine the amount of link equity that flows to each page.
Would be awesome if you could also see if the internal link comes from the footer or is within the body. Would make the number of internal links much more useful. Then you would actually know how many counting internal links each page has.
@Christoph Schachner: Definitely agree with this - it's a pain to tell what's nav vs what's not.
@Joseph Robison: Yes here the same issues. And with internal links you can check even more, other tools show how it works like Screaming... SiteBulb etc. But even they have their weaknesses. I wish SiteAudit would be also better for internal link analyses, follow, nofollow, anchor, title tag of links, better overview etc.
I think this is related to this request as well: https://ahrefs.canny.io/dashboard/p/include-internal-links-and-internal-redirects-into-ur-rank
