“52 weeks ago” 
“4 weeks ago” 
“1 week ago”
It's simple to implement, and it helps a lot when comparing data, because each day of the week coincides with the same day (Monday to Monday, etc.)

Luis Llamas thanks for the suggestion! I'm wondering how you envision these options because it seems to me they won't be universal. For example, if your selected period on the chart is "last 30 days" comparing it with "1 week ago" doesn't make sense, because the periods would overlap. The same happens if your selected period is "last 12 months" and you pick "1 week ago".

Should these presets be context-aware? Or maybe I misunderstood your suggestion.

There are several ways to do this.

Taking into account the context (what Google Analytics does)
Offering certain pre-configured options (as Google Search Console does). Easier to implement)
Not taking it into account, and that they overlap (rare, but also very simple to implement)

Surely option 2 is very simple, and sufficient
