The locations/IPs ahrefs uses to scrape the SERPs can differ each between dates updated.
This means the SERP overviews can be very different between dates, with different pages appearing depending on the location used.
In the screen shot below for the SERP overview for "it jobs" in Australia, you can see:
  • 17th June, location used to scrape SERPs must have been Coffs Harbour
  • 16th May, location used to scrape SERPs must have Melbourne
The above is an extreme example, sometimes the differences can be less obvious.
This can cause misunderstandings when examining the SERPs, especially when using the "Compare with".
Understand the need to rotate location is likely done to prevent being blocked by Google and understand we cannot have a SERP overview for every conceivable location.
However, it would be useful to have some indicator on the location used each date to gather the SERP overview.
