Automatic tagging of 'Search Intent' in Keyword Explorer
Sven Ernst
Long due. Like many said before, this is included in most of the competitor solutions. Any way to get this on the roadmap asap? Must have feature and super useful :) Thx!

I would like to second this. I'd love to see search intent added to keywords. There are other tools that do this already and I think it would be very beneficial. For me I'm even considering using semrush just because of this feature.

Urgent need. Many other competitors have been doing it for a long time....

Hi all! I suppose we can create a thread on social media (maybe LinkedIn) where we publicly ask to add these important feature to ahref, I think it's very uncommon and not useful to use ahref and should use semrush or other tool for search intent. What are your thoughts on this? Go ahead!

Please add "Search Intent" as an additional column of data in Keyword Explorer. a competitor's tool already has this feature as part of their keyword research tool. This would be as simple as adding the following I for Informational intent / T for Transactional / C for Commercial / N for Navigational. also some keywords can have more than one intent for example some keywords can by informational and transactional at the same time. Thank you ahrefs is awesome!

Provide Keyword Classification Metric for Intent based search

Referring to this article https://ahrefs.com/blog/search-intent/ you can provide a metric stating that is this keyword classified as informational, navigational, commercial investigataional, transactional? You can use AI and machine learning concepts for Keyword Classification; and release as a Beta project. Should be very helpful.

User intent metric

It would be good to have a user search intent metric. SEMrush has Navigational, Informational, Commercial and Transactional user intent classifications.
Though, I think Ahrefs could go further than this (with a user intent metric). At the moment, I'm manually checking the SERPs and finding mixed intent (informational and transactional) in terms of Google’s understanding of the query and results given. This is the only accurate way of determining Google’s (not our) perceived search user intent.
I can currently work out a rough user intent score (based on an algorithm of my own), for example: each of the 10 results varies from 0-0.1 - where 0.1 is most transactional (ready to convert); above 0.05 is more the commercial shade of transactional; and 0 is purely at the navigational end of informational. The total score of the first-page SERP provides me with a user intent score (from 0 being more navigational and informational, and from 0.5 all the way to 1 that is commercial up to the most transactional).
It would be a great way to determine user intent and the value of a search query. Could you develop an AI-driven user metric, which could scan the meta titles of the SERPs on the first page automatically to provide this in the form of a value?
