Agree this would be great for those of us in highly seasonal industries where search volume varies significantly month to month. Also including an export feature for the past 12 months would be helpful.

This would be game changing -- even if it's just via API or similar. If a monthly breakdown is not viable, even a year on year growth (e.g. July vs July YoY) type metric would be fantastically useful instead.

Yes I strongly agree. Both the Google Keyword Planner and SEMrush offer a 12 month trend line for historic avg. monthly search volume. We need this on Ahrefs too to compliment the unique clickstream based methodology, so that seasonal & market shifts in demand may be observed.
