Hello, I was informed from the support that the Ahrefs rank metric from the SERP in keyword explorer has been replaced for Word Count. Ahrefs rank helps a lot in determining low competition sites as compared to the DR which we have to solely rely on when doing keyword research. While DR ranges from 0 too 100, it doesnt give an idea if a site's rank is in the millions and if it would be easy to rank a keyword. This is a major drawback and it would be hard for many SEO professionals for doing effective keyword research.
