I would really prefer that I didn't have to sign up for another service simply to provide you feedback.

Hm. Not so much as "Complete." More of a "Won't Do."

Too bad. I would think you'd want to encourage user feedback, not discourage it. Then weed out based on requester subscription plan level or customer lifetime value.

sorry, mate.. making feature requests a little bit "painful" to submit we're weeding out those of them that weren't as important in the first place. Even with having to register at Canny we have tons of feature requests submitted by our users. So the "system" works :)
