Ahref is taking GSC data and using it to predict and give our competitor an advantage, in return what do we get in exchange of this valuable data?

It's almost like shooting myself in the foot. Even if you don't use the data directly, it can be a good reference and estimate to improve your algorithm etc. in return, I don't see how we benefit. I think we should at least get something out of this. You can always set a requirement where the site needs to be of a certain value before i can benefit from ahrefs's reports & data.
