Segments based on crawl (Same Store Sales Concept)
Andrey Kirillov
Hi Marston Gould,
There is a segment filter in the header where you can save your own segments. Once a segment is created it will be available for all crawls of particular project so you can track changes over time. Let me know if it helps.
Marston Gould
Andrey Kirillov: not exactly the same thing. The segment filter doesn't let me choose which two crawls to compare. Plus I can't create a segment based on crawl from date 1 and see how it performs on each crawl to date.
Andrey Kirillov
Marston Gould: you are right, there is no way to choose crawls to compare at the moment. A crawl is always compared with the previous one.

I'm not sure I understand it correctly. Are you looking for a trend of changes? If so you can find it in Data Explorer for any set of URL.
Marston Gould
Andrey Kirillov: Let's say for instance I want to pick a set of URLs that exist in a specific crawl and have a specific state. I would like to set that as a segment and see they evaluate across different periods.
Andrey Kirillov
Marston Gould: you can do everything you described using Segment filter. Save a segment based on any parameters you want. Once the segment is saved it will be available for all crawls of the project which means you can track changes of this segment over time. Am I missing something?
