Don't include disavowed backlinks in backlink summary count

If you disavow a domain/url in site explorer (we have one domain that produces 10's of thousands of junk back links), site explorer summary removes them from its total, but the dashboard summary of number of back links continues to include the disavowed. That does not seem right to me. Esp. problematic when you have a domain that produces so much junk.

Hi there, you can consider using the Best links filter, which does reduce the count in charts and summary metrics on Site Explorer Overview, Backlinks, and other reports where Best links filter can be applied. More about this feature is described in our help article: https://help.ahrefs.com/en/articles/604454-how-do-i-disavow-backlinks-or-filter-referring-domains-in-ahrefs-reports

Yes, please! I can't wait to finally get this feature! :-)

Yes. I agree. I recently reached out to AHREFS because I had a similar issue but with over 175k junk links! They told me that, although I have disavowed through Google and Ahrefs, they are completely unwilling to update their index to remove the URLs. The only way to really remove these links is to actually get the domain to remove them. If they don't then AHREFS has no interest in updating their index.
