Assign a keyword to a specific Landing Page
Vasilis Giannakouris
Due to content cannibalization, there are many times that a page that is less suitable is ranked higher than the landing page you are specifically targeting this keyword with.
So, if you could assign a keyword to your specific URL in Rank Tracker you will know:
- What position does your keyword has, in general, for any URL of your site
- What position does your keyword has, for the Landing Page that you have targeted for that particular keyword

Indicate when a keyword has multiple pages ranking for it
Angie
Currently in Keywords tab, you can see only the top page ranking for a keyword. I know you can see if a keyword has multiple pages ranking in the Pages tab, but when you're checking hundreds or even just tens of keywords in the Keyword tab, it would be extremely helpful to know if there are multiple pages ranking for a single keyword.
Moreover, the traffic for all the pages ranking for a keyword will be added up and displayed in the Keyword tab, but this is misleading. And at the moment there's no easy way to tell that a keyword's traffic is coming from multiple sources unless you go to Pages and seek out that keyword manually, so you're not getting an accurate picture of which pages are driving traffic. For example, two pages are ranking for the same keyword: https://www.screencast.com/t/uHcOKcC9S. On Keywords tab only the top page is shown, but the traffic for both pages is added up: https://www.screencast.com/t/1djBB9080u
This also affects filters in a big way - e.g., if I filter by a certain traffic volume, then switch from the Keywords tab to the Pages tab, I may not see the pages ranking for a single keyword if those pages are not within the traffic filter range independently. It takes another step to clear filters and search for the exact keyword to see which pages are ranking. Example: https://www.screencast.com/t/sHQdj36smQqm. A similar thing happens if I sort by Position changes - since the Pages tab doesn't track actual changes in position, switching to it with this filter on just displays ALL pages for all keywords when I'd expect to see only the pages that rank for keywords which have changed in position.
Finally, at the moment you can only see the top/currently ranking page in the keyword's History graph, which is not very helpful if the page was recently published. I love the model you use in the Organic keywords report and I think it'd be an ideal solution to implement: https://www.screencast.com/t/yI9GuyOXCsSO
Much love to the Ahrefs team!

Hi guys any chance to get keyword position changes on individual pages ? A quick Add to Rank-Tracker button would save so much time. If we get this feature would be amazing

Set Preferred URLs

Create the ability to set a preferred URL for a keyword you're tracking (i.e. the homepage is ranking, but we want a new blog post to rank -- allow us to set that in the tool). Thanks!

i agree fully, i even dont understand why its not yet integrated in ahrefs, because its also something that is so obvious and a must have

This is a great way to find cannibalization issues. I would really like this!

Correct me if I am wrong, but currently all the ranking history data is visible for a single URL. This means that if I have multiple URLs that both rank with the same keyword, I will only see half of my past rankings

This feature would make my life so much easier.

Andrey Kirillov do you know something about that, or is nobody in charge for the new ideas? :D

André Deiß: we don't have any ETA for this feature yet, sorry :)
