De-Dupe Keywords with Different Capitalization

Fedor Fokin Is it live now? You never considered to lowercase all keywords in the dedupe? Would just look cleaner. Just as you display keywords in keyword planner or organic keywords it's not a mix it's just lower case, no matter how you typed it in the search field.
Fedor Fokin
t: Yes, it's available on ahrefs.com. We handle duplicates and capitalization after adding keywords. In the form itself, you see the original format. Or I misunderstood your question?
t
Fedor Fokin: Okay, so you only handle new keywords and not existing keywords in the rank tracker? As before we had duplicated one. As explained in my list below see point 2 and 3.
- Remove duplicates and threat keywords as case-insensitive
- Keep lowercase
- Keep history data for the first added keyword/merge if needed and force lower case on all.
Fedor Fokin
t: Yes, right. For now, we've just removed the ability to create duplicates. Existing keywords require more attention and resources, so we postponed this step for a while. Thanks for the clarification!
t
Fedor Fokin: Okay that explains why. Thanks looking forward to the fix of existing keywords. EnJoY!

+1 to remove and threat "ahrefs" and "AhreFs" as the same keyword in the tracker and force lowercase on all.
- Remove duplicates and threat keywords as case-insensitive
- Keep lowercase
- Keep history data for the first added keyword/merge if needed and force lower case on all.
- Done.

Any News on this ahref Team? it's an issue since 2018 that it is still hurting people and got a lot of votes compared to another "UNDER REVIEW" topics.

Merged in a post:
Stop Captial Letters
Bart van der Meer
If you input a word with and without capital letters the rank tracker will track both (with the same result obv) but not alert you on this and take 1 credit for that.
So it's no use to anyone, but hard to detect when you are copy and pasting from Excel.
Just a check for this would be great!

Pretty silly this has not been addressed yet - the duplication struggle is real.

Agreed. I reported this as well, and now I'm here to vote on this. :)

Agreed! I came in here to say the same thing! Other software we have used automatically deletes keyword duplicates if exactly the same. Thanks.
