Per-channel deep analytics with the full native metric set for each platform
Markus Palm
Current SMM analytics show a generic set of metrics common to all platforms (views, likes, shares). But each platform tracks meaningfully different metrics that matter for strategy on that channel. I'd like dedicated per-channel analytics surfacing what each platform actually exposes.
- LinkedIn (both personal profile AND company page): Impressions, Likes, Comments, Shares, Clicks, Engagement Rate. Filter by post type (Text / Image / Multi-Image / Video / Document / Link). Personal-profile analytics specifically matter for founder-led content and most tools skip it.
- Twitter/X: Impressions, Likes, Comments, Retweets, Quote Tweets, Bookmarks, Engagement Rate. Quote Tweets and Bookmarks are X-specific intent signals that aren't surfaced today.
- Instagram: Impressions, Likes, Comments, Shares, Saves, Engagement Rate. Saves are a high-intent metric missing from the common set.
- Facebook: Impressions, Reactions (broken out by type), Comments, Shares, Engagement Rate.
Also valuable on each channel page:
- Per-account aggregate rollups across a date range (vs. previous period)
- Date range filter (presets + custom)
- Filter by post type, label, campaign
- CSV export of the current filtered view
- Manual refresh button (Ordinal allows 1/hour) so I can check performance right after a post goes live without waiting for the daily sync
I included an example of how it looks like in our current tool where we'd be happy to migrate from (https://docs.tryordinal.com/analytics/overview)
